Things don't go so well for DEEP JEWELS 20 stars

DEEP JEWELS held their latest show today at Shinjuku FACE. The main event is an Atomweight bout with the winner likely getting a shot at Mina Kurobe's DEEP JEWELS Atomweight Championship. I guess the problem with this fight it shouldn't be a main event and neither fighter is very good. Emi Tomimatsu has been around a long time. That doesn't mean she is any good. Korean Jung Eun Park isn't much better. She's 3-3-1 and she lost to Kurobe in December. In fact, all her losses were to Japanese fighters. This just shows how low the DEEP JEWELS talent level is. Think about it. This crap is the main event. After three rounds, Park won by unanimous decision. She wasn't dominant. She outpointed Emi. And now she's getting a title shot. Ugh! King REINA won easily over Korean kickboxer Eun Ji Choi via TKO after 1:40 of round one. As expected, the fight was a waste of time so REINA could stare at RIZIN owner Sakakibara and get a fight on the Aug. RIZIN show. Ugh deux! Kana Watanabe vs Yukari Nabe was a rematch from March which was a draw. DEEP JEWELS have big plans for Kana based on her looks. But she needs to be dominant. And she squeaked out a win in this fight. She won by majority decision because Yukari got a yellow card for grabbing the ropes. I don't believe any fight should be decided by a penalty. Ugh trois!I think there will be a third match. Shizuka Sugiyama won by unanimous decision over Sachiko Fujimori. Sachiko came out of retirement for this fight. Shizuka is pretty but a mediocre fighter. She would be a big star if she was any good...but she's not. Hikaru Aono won over Mizuki Furuse by unanimous decision. The teenager Furuse is now 2-4. Idol turned fighter Nanaka Kawamura won over Momoko Yamazaki by TKO (body punch) in 39 seconds of round one. Momoko was making her pro MMA debut. She's a club hostess. And Nanaka missed weight. How long will she continue fighting? Yuko Saito beat veteran kickboxer Jet Izumi by unanimous decision. And in the opener. Mao won her MMA debut by unanimous decision over Ryo The Skywalker. There sure was a lot of filler on this show.
