Here's the match video of Sijara Eubanks vs Lauren Murphy from last night's UFC show in Utica, NY. This fight went as I expected. It was like every Lauren Murphy UFC fight. She just doesn't do enough. And it's not like Sijara is a worldbeater. But she did just enough to win. Sijara landed some good shots in round one and cut Lauren over her right eye. And round two was similar though Sijara was clearly tired. So Sijara won the first two rounds but she was pooped out in the third round. So what does Lauren do in round three? Basically nothing. She's losing the fight and there's no sense of urgency. Her coach John Crouch told her Sijara was tired and to take advantage of that. But most of Lauren's UFC fights have been like this. She doesn't even counterpunch well. The only thing she does well is strike from bottom position but judges don't tend to score that favorably. She's always been like this. So I scored it 30-27 Sijara and so did two of the three judges. The third judge scored it 29-28 for Sijara. Sijara wants a title shot. I dunno about that. She wasn't that good. I'd like to see her against a better fighter but not a title fight. Enjoy the video!
