PANCRASE announced today that Loma Lookboonmee vs Hana DATE has been added to PANCRASE 298 Aug. 5 at Shinkiba Studio Coast. This will be an Atomweight bout. Loma is 22 years old from Thailand. She has a 187-13 kickboxing record. She made her MMA debut with a unanimous decision win over Melissa Wang on the Jan. 13 Invicta show. So obviously this is part of PANCRASE's working agreement with Invicta. I thought Loma looked OK at times. But her lack of MMA experience showed against an opponent that she should have finished. She's a decorated kickboxer with all kinds of titles. But she's a project as an MMA fighter. Hana "DATE" Yamada was part of Team DATE. This was a team of models who fought for DEEP JEWELS a couple of years ago. Most of these girls were awful and four of them including Hana now work for Ice Ribbon joshi puroresu. Hana was actually not bad at MMA. She's 21 years old and her record is 2-4. The last time she fought she lost to So Hee Lim at the Mar. 11, 2017 Road FC show in Korea. Since then she has been working for SEI*ZA who do this fight product that has weird rules. The fights don't count towards an MMA record. The more experience Loma gets the better off she is. But if she has trouble with Hana, maybe MMA is not for her.
