Welcome to Frank Pozen's Big Bad Blog. A lot of folks have been asking me to update them about my recovery. So I thought I would start a blog primarily to do that but also to talk about other topics of interest including the wrestling business and whatever else I can think of. I plan to update this on a regular basis so check back and leave a comment if you wish.

Angela Hill vs Nina Ansaroff added to Nov. 11 UFC show
Last night, Damon Martin of Flo Combat reported that Angela Hill vs Nina Ansaroff has been added to UFC Fight Night 120 Nov. 11 at Ted Constant Convocation Center in Norfolk, VA. This show will air on Fox Sports 1 in the US and TSN in Canada. When Angela Hill returned to the UFC, her first fight was a loss to Jessica Andrade. Then in July she won over Ashley Yoder. At the time, Angela complained that she wanted to face a ranked fighter. So of course it's curious that she's going to face another unranked fighter in Nina Ansaroff. These days Nina is best known as the girlfriend of UFC Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes. But she's been around the fight game since 2008 and she has a 7-5 record. Her UFC record is 1-2. Her last fight was a Jan. win over Jocelyn Jones-Lybarger who promptly retired. My theory is that UFC matchmaker Sean Shelby agrees with my assessment of Angela. She's great in interviews because she knows how to talk and that gets her fans. Also I think she should be allowed to do the cosplay at weighins. The UFC wants fighters to show personality and then they won't allow cosplay. It's dopey. But she's not that great a fighter. Angela is mainly a kickboxer. She doesn't have much of a ground game though I think she's trying to improve training at Alliance in San Diego. Also the matchmaker has to know his fighter. And he knows that even while she complains, Angela won't turn down any fights. A lot of fighters are like that. Maybe he's trying to build her up to a ranked opponent. Keep in mind that Angela has never beaten a ranked fighter. I doubt that she ever will. There are fighters who are at middle of the pack level and they just aren't good enough to get to the top level. That's where Angela Hill is. She has to prove otherwise and this fight won't do that.
