AccuRadio Song Of The Day-Drake White

Artist:Drake White
Song:It Feels Good
Album:Spark

Drake White's 2016 major label debut Spark spawned three country music hits. So he got off to a good start. He was Born Oct. 3, 1983 in the Gadsden suburb of Hokes Bluff, AL. He grew up singing in church and he began to write songs as a teen. White continued to work on his music while earning a building science degree at Auburn University. After graduation, he moved to Nashville to work for a contractor while playing clubs at night. He self released a CD in 2011. He got the attention of producer Jeremy Stover who is best known for producing Justin Moore. They released the single Simple Life in 2013 on MCA Nashville. When that went nowhere, Stover got White a deal with Big Machine's revival of Dot Records. Stover produced the 2016 album Spark with Ross Copperman who is best known for producing Brett Eldredge. White wrote most of the songs with various songwriting partners. White wrote It Feels Good with Derek George and Phillip Pence. George was a member of Bryan White's band. Pence played bass on Spark. It reached #32 on the Country Singles chart. White has been on tour with labelmate Zac Brown Band among others. He released the EP Pieces in May. He is touring Europe in October. I expect he will record new music after the tour. Here's the video for It Feels Good by Drake White.
