Song:Don't You Call My Name
Album:Dailey & Vincent
Jamie Dailey and Darrin Vincent were veterans of the bluegrass music scene when they combined forces with the 2008 album Dailey & Vincent. They are currently one of the most popular bluegrass groups and their albums have done very well. Dailey plays bass and he is the former lead singer of Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver. Vincent plays mandolin and he was a long time member of Ricky Skaggs' Kentucky Thunder. He is also younger brother of the fabulous bluegrass artist Rhonda Vincent. So he grew up playing in the family bluegrass group. They first met in 2001 and decided to form Dailey & Vincent when Dailey left Quicksilver. They signed with Rounder Records and their debut CD Dailey & Vincent was released in 2008. Other band members were Joe Dean on banjo, Stuart Duncan on fiddle, Bryan Sutton on guitar and Jeff Parker on mandolin. Don't You Call My Name was written by Herb Campbell and it was recorded by the Johnson Mountain Boys in 1989. The group has been very successful with CDs distributed through Cracker Barrel stores. Their latest CD Alive! In Concert was released in Apr. 2015. They are one of the most popular groups on the bluegrass circuit and they are worth seeing if they are coming your way. Here's Dailey & Vincent performing Don't You Call My Name on The Marty Stuart Show 2009.
