MIKU dominates WINDY Tomomi

DEEP 44 IMPACT was held today at Korakuen Hall. DEEP Lightweight Champion MIKU had no problem winning by unanimous decision over veteran WINDY Tomomi. Because the match was at 51kg, it was not a title match. It was scheduled for two five minute rounds. The main thing that MIKU has to be watchful of is WINDY's punching power. But MIKU has been working on her standup and over the last year has become one of the elite female fighters in the world today. MIKU wore red shoes for the first time. WINDY begins with a low kick to set up a punch. But MIKU fires back and then pushes WINDY into the corner. She follows with a knee kick and a takedown attempt. But WINDY counters with a knee kick and an attempted sumo throw. WINDY throws a right but MIKU's straight right drops WINDY. MIKU blocks WINDY's takedown attempt and pounds her. MIKU grabs her by the neck and and hammers WINDY in the back. WINDY goes down and MIKU hooks a sleeper hold. But there's only 30 seconds left in the round and the bell rings. This continues in the second round MIKU scores with punches and then goes for an ankle lock. WINDY is finally able to reverse but MIKU stuffs all of her offense. They are stood up and MIKU pushes WINDY into the corner and hits a knee kick. She takes WINDY down and controls her with a side mount, an armbar and pounding to her body. WINDY escapes and throws a knee kick but MIKU grabs her ankle and the bell rings to end the match. MIKU wins by unanimous decision. This is her 12th straight victory. MIKU may be the most underrated femal;e fighter today. She said afterwards that the match was unsatisfying and she wants more. Translation-she wants Megumi Fujii. Shigeru Saeki, make it happen.
