Here's the match video of Jessica Penne vs Loopy Godinez from last night's UFC show in Las Vegas. This fight is at Strawweight. Last month Jessica was supposed to fight Hannah Goldy but Hannah tested positive for COVID-19. The fight was rescheduled but Hannah pulled out. Her replacement was LFA Strawweight Champion Loopy Godinez. Loopy is 27 years old originally from Mexico. She now lives in Vancouver and trains at Titan MMA in Coquitlam, BC with coach Ken Tran. I watched her latest fight on UFC Fight Pass. She's a good striker. Jessica last fought in 2017 because of USADA issues. She trains at Alliance in San Diego with Eric Del Fierro. At 5'7", she's tall for a Strawweight. But she's not much of a striker. But she's good in the clinch which leads to takedowns. And Loopy's mistake was allowing Jessica to get her in the clinch. Loopy was winning on the feet in round one. But Jessica was able to win the round on the ground. That round could have been scored a draw but two of the judges scored it 10-9 for Jessica and the third scored it 10-9 for Loopy. Round two was 10-9 for Jessica and round three was 10-9 for Loopy. I scored it 29-28 for Jessica. Jessica won by split decision, 29-28, 29-28, 28-29. Loopy made a very stupid mistake and she needs to not do that again. She beat herself. Enjoy the video!
