Welcome to Frank Pozen's Big Bad Blog. A lot of folks have been asking me to update them about my recovery. So I thought I would start a blog primarily to do that but also to talk about other topics of interest including the wrestling business and whatever else I can think of. I plan to update this on a regular basis so check back and leave a comment if you wish.

Karolina Kowalkiewicz vs Felice Herrig added to Apr. 7 UFC show
A few days ago, it was reported that Karolina Kowalkiewicz vs Felice Herrig has been added to UFC 223 Apr. 7 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. Several matches for this show should be announced on tonight's episode of UFC Tonight. This is an important match for both fighters. Felice is trying to get into the title picture and Karolina is trying to stay in the title picture. Felice is from Schaumburg, IL. Her record is 14-6 and she trains with former UFC and Bellator fighter Jeff Curran. Felice is on a four fight winning streak. In Dec. she beat Cortney Casey by split decision. I didn't think she gave a very good performance in that match. Karolina is from Lodz, Poland. Her record is 11-2. Of course she's already had a title match which she lost. In her last fight, she beat Jodie Esquibel by unanimous decision. I don't like Karolina much because she's a points fighter. She's a striker with no power or ground game. I think she's highly ranked but overrated. If Felice can win in a dominant fashion, that vaults her into the title picture. I don't think a close fight does that as there are other contenders. It's rumored that Rose Namajunas will defend her UFC Strawweight Championship vs Joanna Jedrzejczyk on this show. That may be confirmed tonight too. After this fight, we may see the winner in a number one contender fight. So as I said, this is a big match.
