Families have always been a big part of gospel music. And The Showers are a pretty big family. There's ten of them in this group. They are from Hammond, LA and they all grew up in their father's church. The ringleader of this group is Titus Showers Sr. He's the lead singer of Immediately. The other family members write the occasional song. But Titus seems to be the main guy. They released an album in 2009 and it did well enough that Myron Butler and Deon Kipping decided to help them. Of course Butler is known for his days with Kirk Franklin and Kipping has written songs for the choir Youthful Praise. The third producer on the 2014 album Family Group was guitarist Bruce Robinson who wrote songs for the album. The album got gospel radio play and they got a Stellar award nomination. And they appeared on BET's Bobby Jones Gospel. The Deluxe Edition of Family Group has a bonus track and it's available on CD. Unfortunately, The Showers is no longer around. It looks like a 2017 house fire sent them in all directions. Titus Showers released in EP in 2019. He's still working with Kipping along with guitarist Lucius B. Hoskins, bassist Nicholas Baker and keyboardist Tyrone Belle. He's still on his own label. A record deal is probably an uphill climb. Here's the video for Immediately by The Showers.
