Kyoko Inoue's joshi puroresu company Diana finally debuted Sunday at Differ Ariake. The show was delayed a month due to the earthquake. The attendance was 794 and Inoue was disappointed with that. Considering that it's a new company, the show also didn't get much media coverage in Japan. When this show was first announced, the opening match with Aya Yuki vs Ayako Sato was called Which is The Next Ace?. Yuki won the match. The show's main event had Sato teaming with with Kaoru Ito vs Kyoko Inoue & Yuki. Fans read too much into tag team match falls anyway but conventional booking has one of the veterans winning the deciding fall. Instead Sato got the deciding fall over Inoue with a rollup pin. I'm surprised she can hold Big Mama down. And the match went almost 40 minutes. Anyone got any No-Doz? Aya Yuki and Ayako Sato have both been around for a few years and have never shown more than midcard ability. Inoue can say they are aces but that doesn't mean fans will accept them as aces. She would be better off concentrating on Nagisa Nozaki and Sareee who have some potential to carry the promotion. Nozaki's problem is she has to demonstrate durability and develop her ring skills. She certainly has the looks but I question turning her heel. They had her trash talk Aja Kong in the press conference. Aja had to be replaced due to scheduling conflicts and it turned into a Diana vs Stardom match against Nanae Takahashi. Takahashi won of course. Will fans allow Nozaki to turn heel? I have my doubts. Of course Sarreee is the 15 year old making her debut against Meiko Satomura. I'm sure Meiko made her look good. Of course a cute teenager is always going to get media attention. What media coverage there was focused on Nozaki and Sareee and there was no mention of Inoue's future aces. I don't think Aya Yuki or Ayako Sato are capable of being aces.
