SHIMMER announced that Ayumi Kurihara, Hiroyo Matsumoto, Misaki Ohata and Tomoka Nakagawa will appear on their Apr. 9 & 10 tapings and will also appear for Jersey All Pro Wrestling on Apr. 17. This was arranged through Kurihara and the S-Ovation office. Ayumi Kurihara is currently co-holder of the NEO Tag Team Titles with Yoshiko Tamura. The video clip of the Feb. 14 NEO show features their latest title defense. Ayumi has handled her own bookings since M's Style closed. Of course a lot of fans know that a lot of veteran wrestlers own businesses but it's been unusual for younger wrestlers to do that. For example, Kana has a new video game she created launching this weekend. Ayumi gets her entreprenurial spirit from her parents. They own a restaurant and Ayumi has started a catering business providing noodles to a pro baseball team. Yes, there is life after wrestling. Ayumi said on her blog that they would like to book some more US dates. So if you're a promoter and you want four wrestlers who will blow the roof off your hall and give you more than your money's worth, you can contact Ayumi at maron_ayumi@yahoo.co.jp or you can contact S-Ovation at joshipro@s-ovation.com The RINGSTARS Spring Festival at the Osaka World Hall Mar. 21 will feature these four wrestlers in a special American Send Off match. The only problem that I see with these four wrestlers is Nakagawa is the only one who plays heel regularly. I don't like Ohata much but she teams a lot with Matsumoto so that may be the best way to use her. I'm sure a lot of fans attending the show have never seen joshi wrestlers live so it is a big deal.
