So I thought I would start a blog primarily to do that but also to talk about other topics of interest including the wrestling business and whatever else I can think of. Card announced for Fuuka's retirement show
Fuuka and Nanae Takahashi held a press conference today to announce the main event for Fuuka's Mar.28 retirement show at Korakuen Hall. Check out the video of the press conference. Takahashi will be Fuuka's opponent in her retirement match. This is good because Takahashi will make sure the match is good as Fuuka is notorious for stinking out the joint in big matches. Fuuka has also agreed to appear on the Mar. 19 Passion Red show at Shin-kiba 1st Ring. You'll notice in the video that Takahashi makes Fuuka an honorary member of Passion Red by giving her a red headband. Then she does the "rah rah" stuff which can get very irritating. The rest of the show is definitely a cut above the usual Fuuka Matsuri nonsense. The big news is that Ultimo Dragon will appear on the show with a partner TBA against MASADA & NOZAWA. Fuuka did appear on an UD show in Mexico City a couple of years ago. They are also doing a Tigre Fuuka match with Fuuka in her lucha mask teaming with Dark Angel/Sarita against Hiroka & Princess Sugey. That's pretty big too. They're also doing a comedy "Royal Rumble" style match featuring everyone from Yumiko Hotta to Small Antonio Inoki to Minoru Suzuki. There's a timewaster for you. They're having a Future Ace match with Shuu Shibutani & Misaki Ohata vs Ayumi Kurihara & Natsuki*Taiyo. The opener will have Io Shirai vs Kagetsu from Sendai Girls. And there's one more match TBA. There will also be a live band and an opening dance number and of course the show will end with a retirement ceremony. Enjoy the video!
