The Artist Selects is a 2005 comp of Freddie Hubbard's Blue Note recordings selected by Hubbard himself. Prophet Jennings is actually from the 1962 classic Hub-Tones. Along with Hubbard on trumpet, we have James Spaulding on sax, Herbie Hancock on piano, Reggie Workman on bass and Clifford Jarvis on drums. Hub-Tones is available in a remastered version with alternate takes and The Artist Selects is a good intro to Hubbard's music.
