Here's the match video of Macy Chiasson vs Shanna Young from last night's UFC show in New Mexico. This fight is at Bantamweight. Macy won TUF 28 and looked really good until she was upset by Lina Lansberg in her last fight. She admitted this week that she didn't show up for that fight. I'm sure her coach Sayif Saud of Fortis MMA will make sure that will never happen again. New Mexico native Nicco Montano was supposed to be her opponent. But she was forced to pull out due to a knee injury that I understand isn't that serious. She should recover in a couple of months. Shanna Young is from Knoxville. She lost in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. She was supposed to fight on last week's Invicta show but got sick just before weigh ins. Not only is she coming in on short notice but most fighters have to prepare for the New Mexico altitude and she couldn't do that. Shanna started out OK at a distance. But Macy got her in a clinch and took a lot out of her with knees. Not surprisingly, Macy dominated and I scored it 30-27 for Macy. The judges scored it 30-26. It's about what I expected because Shanna was a short notice replacement. Enjoy the video!
