It was announced today that KSW Flyweight Champion Ariane Lipsky left the promotion. Soon after, Combate in Brazil reported that Ariane will step in for the injured Veronica Macedo and she will face Maryna Moroz at UFC Fight Night 140 Nov. 17 at Luna Park in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Ariane is 24 years old from Curitiba, Brazil. Her record is 11-3 and she is on a nine fight winning streak. She won the KSW title Oct. 2017 and she defended it once. Regardless of that, the UFC is still a higher competition level that who she has fought previously. I don't think Maryna is much better than Ariane's previous opponents. But I don't like Maryna. She lacks aggression but I don't expect her keep away strategy to work against Ariane. Also this is Maryna's first fight at Flyweight after several fights at Strawweight. She's in a two fight losing streak. At least I am now more interested in this fight as I want to see how Ariane does in the UFC. We may be seeing a future title contender.
