Song:Hooked
Album:Dylan Scott: Deluxe Edition
Dylan Scott scored two top ten country hits from his 2016 debut album. He seems to have a lot of potential. He was born Dylan Scott Robinson Oct. 22, 1990 in Bastrop, LA. His father Scotty Robinson played guitar with Freddy Fender. By the time Scott was in high school, he decided to pursue a career in music. He produced a demo which led to the 2014 EP Makin' This Boy Go Crazy. Scott co-wrote the song and the EP was produced by veteran producer Jim Ed Norman. It got Scott a deal with Curb Records. Norman and Matt Alderman produced Scott's 2016 debut album Dylan Scott. Scott co-wrote half the songs on the album including the single My Girl which reached #3 on the Country Singles chart. The single Hooked was not on the album. When it reached #6 on the Country Singles chart in early 2017, Curb released a Deluxe Edition of Dylan Scott with three songs including Hooked that weren't on the original album. Hooked was written by veteran songwriter Lindsay Rimes and singer songwriters Seth Ennis and Morgan Evans. Ennis records for Arista. Evans is from Australia. He has a new album coming out on Warner Bros. in October. And he is married to country music star Kelsea Ballerini. Dylan Scott is currently on tour. I expect he will record new music when the tour is finished. Obviously his first album was successful. We'll see if he can maintain that. Here's the video for Hooked by Dylan Scott.
