Welcome to Frank Pozen's Big Bad Blog. A lot of folks have been asking me to update them about my recovery. So I thought I would start a blog primarily to do that but also to talk about other topics of interest including the wrestling business and whatever else I can think of. I plan to update this on a regular basis so check back and leave a comment if you wish.

Juliana Lima vs Amanda Ribas added to July 7 UFC show
Yesterday UOL in Brazil reported and several sources confirmed that Juliana Lima vs Amanda Ribas has been added to the TUF 25 Finale July 7 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. I expect that this fight will air on the UFC Fight Pass prelims. Both fighters are from Brazil. Juliana is 3-2 in the UFC. I don't like her because she tends to use lay and pray to win fights. That's what she did last Dec. when she beat JJ Aldrich. She looks bad when she loses but she looks worse when she wins. Amanda is 23 years old from Varginha, Brazil. As an amateur, she won the 2014 IMMAF World Championships. As a pro, Amanda is 6-1. She seems to like to finish fights as only one win has gone the distance. In her last fight, she won the Max Fight Strawweight Championship with a win over Jennifer Gonzalez Araneda on May 21, 2016. I have posted the fight video below so you can check her out for yourself. Amanda is wearing the Brazilian green and gold outfit. After this fight, Amanda moved to the US and she's now training at American Top Team in Coconut Creek, FL. This is Amanda's first fight outside Brazil so I would describe her as unproven. Even Juliana is a step up in competition. But she's training at one of the best camps anywhere with plenty of UFC champs. I hope they have taught her to stop using that stupid headlock takedown. Enjoy the fight!
