Here's the match video of Mackenzie Dern vs Hannah Cifers from last night's UFC show in Las Vegas. Of course Mackenzie is a two time world BJJ champ. She's great on the ground but her striking isn't so good. Hannah was known for her punching power in regional MMA. She just doesn't seem to have that in the UFC. She also doesn't seem to have the IQ needed to be in the UFC. She needed to keep the fight standing. Once Mackenzie got it to the ground, Hannah made a couple of really stupid mistakes and she tapped out to a kneebar of all things. Apparently this was the very first leg submission in women's MMA in the UFC. And Mackenzie got a bonus for that. I think it was the result of Hannah not knowing what she was doing. She shouldn't be in the UFC. We saw what happened when Mackenzie fought an elite fighter like Amanda Ribas. That's the kind of fighter she will have to beat to get a sniff of the Strawweight title.
