Ronda Rousey kicks ass on Japanese TV show

So we all know that Strikeforce fighter Ronda Rousey is a 2008 Olympic Bronze Medalist in judo and a legit badass. Last month she Tweeted that she was going to Japan to appear on a TV show. She was there when there was a mini-monsoon going on. So here's the clip from the show called Ho-no-no Tai-Ku-Kai. They do these kind of shows in Japan all the time. Basically, Ronda is tossing around three comedians. It's similar to what we saw SHOOT BOXING's RENA do earlier this year. There are a couple of notable things about this clip. The best thing about it is that Ronda never cracks a smile through the whole thing. That alone makes this a comedy classic. When the interviewer asks her a question, she looks at him like "Don't ask any more stupid questions". And she seems to get legit pissed with the third guy who wears himself out trying to avoid the inevitable takedown. The other thing you'll notice is that former Strikeforce champ and women's MMA pioneer Marloes Coenen is watching the show. Marloes was in Japan for the recent DREAM show. It looks like the Youtube clip was shot at the TBS studio office in Tokyo. These kind of shows are popular in Japan because of the parochial Japanese attitude towards women. At the start of the show, they're supposed to look at Ronda like she's only a girl and she's taking on three guys. The odds are against her. But as we all know, Ronda Rousey is not just a girl and her seriousness through the whole clip was perfect. And the incredulous looks on the faces of the three guys makes it even funnier. Remember when she was laughing while she threw Aaron Tru around a couple of months ago? That wouldn't have worked on this TV show. Enjoy the video!
