Welcome to Frank Pozen's Big Bad Blog. A lot of folks have been asking me to update them about my recovery. So I thought I would start a blog primarily to do that but also to talk about other topics of interest including the wrestling business and whatever else I can think of. I plan to update this on a regular basis so check back and leave a comment if you wish.
Sugi Rock, Kikuyo Ishikawa, Yukiko Seki, Misaki Takimoto
Though the matches were already known, JEWELS issued a press release today to officially announce the matches. The show will be Dec. 17 at Shinjuku FACE and tickets will be on sale Saturday. I suspect they would have liked to announce something else but it's not ready. I'll get to that in a minute. Match number one will have Misaki Takimoto vs Yukiko Seki. Match number two will have Kikuyo Ishikawa vs Sugi Rock. The winners will face each other in the final. The likely favourite is the undefeated Sugi Rock who has some very slick moves on the ground. Both Takimoto and Seki fall under the category of journeywomen. Takimoto is capable of winning but is vulnerable on the ground. Her specialty is karate. Seki has been on a bit of a winning streak lately but I don't believe she has fought top level competition. And Sugi Rock is a top level fighter. JEWELS also announced that JEWELS Lightweight Champ Ayaka Hamasaki and Mika Nagano will be on the show. It is expected that Hamasaki will defend her title against Yuka Tsuji but I guess they're not ready to announce that and they had to announce the on sale date anyway. They need something because the Featherweight tournament alone is not a draw.
