Ayaka Hamasaki, Mina Kurobe |
In the wake of Sunday's main event, RIZIN announced that Ayaka Hamazaki vs Mina Kurobe has been added to RIZIN 13 Sept. 30 at Saitama Super Arena. The winner will likely face Kanna Asakura on New Year's Eve. Though RIZIN will try to sell this as a competitive match, I don't expect that. The bottom line is Ayaka is an elite fighter and Mina isn't. Mina is 41 years old and she trains at Master Japan. She is the current DEEP JEWELS Atomweight Champion. The problem is the talent level at DEEP JEWELS is so low, I would describe Mina as the best of the worst. Her TKO loss to Ham Seo Hee in Korea is probably a better gauge of her talent. She doesn't measure up to Ayaka. Ayaka is 37 years old. She has been a champ on DEEP JEWELS and Invicta. Of course she was trained by the legend Megumi Fujii. Recently Ayaka has concentrated on training RENA. But she recently returned in RIZIN and won over Alyssa Garcia. I don't see her having any problems with Mina. And I see her giving Kanna a lot of trouble too. Ayaka vs Kanna is the fight I want to see.
