Welcome to Frank Pozen's Big Bad Blog. A lot of folks have been asking me to update them about my recovery. So I thought I would start a blog primarily to do that but also to talk about other topics of interest including the wrestling business and whatever else I can think of. I plan to update this on a regular basis so check back and leave a comment if you wish.

Valerie Letourneau to replace Germaine De Randamie at UFC 174
Last week it was announced that Germaine De Randamie pulled out of her match against Russian fighter Milana Dedieva at UFC 174 in Vancouver on June 14. Of course the first name everyone mentioned was Sarah Kaufman. But she is currently injured and has not been cleared to train. Late last week, Dudieva's home MMA company Pro FC announced that Valerie Letourneau would be Dudieva's new opponent. Valerie is from Montreal and she trains at Tristar. She was the first Canadian pro female fighter in 2007. Her record is 5-3. She tried out for TUF18 and lost her qualifying match to Roxanne Modafferi. Her wins have all been over lower level competition and her losses were to Sarah Kaufman, Alexis Davis and Claudia Gadelha. That's very similar to Dudieva's record. So it should be an OK fight but I'm not sure either of them are headed higher than the prelims. Though I do think having a full camp is an advantage for Dudieva.
