JEWELS added two matches to their May 26 show at Taisho Azeria in Osaka. Of course the main event has Ayaka Hamasaki defending her JEWELS Lightweight Championship against Yuka Tsuji. In a rematch from the final VALKYRIE show, JEWELS Featherweight Champion Sugi Rock will face former VALKYRIE Flyweight Champion Yasuko Tamada. This is a non title match scheduled for two five minute rounds under full MMA rules. I don't know why it's not for the title. It probably should be. Sugi Rock trains at the Akza branch of WK. Her record is 7-0 and her last win was over Misaki Takimoto in the Featherweight tournament final on the Dec. 17 JEWELS show. Tamada trains at AACC. Her record is 12-7 and she is currently on a three fight losing streak. Her last loss was to SACHI on the Dec. 17 JEWELS show. Of course the big deal is that Sugi Rock beat Tamada on the Nov. 28, 2010 VALKYRIE show. So that one should be interesting. In a fight contracted for 46kg and scheduled for two five minute rounds, Yukiko Seki will face Yuko Kawabata. Seki trains at FIGHT CHIX. Her record is 10-21 and her last fight was a loss to Misaki Takimoto in the JEWELS Featherweight Championship tournament semi final on the Dec. 17 JEWELS. She's been around since 2004. Kawabata trains with Yuka Tsuji at Angura. She changed her name so her record is 0-4. She's 0-2 since the name change.Her last loss was to Naoko Omuro on the Jan. 29 DEEP show in Shizuoka. She fought for VALKYRIE under her old name in 2010. I think she is an Osaka native. This fight will be under regular JEWELS rules. When I was looking at the show poster, I noticed that they are planning some sort of tournament so we will wait for that announcement.
