Welcome to Frank Pozen's Big Bad Blog. A lot of folks have been asking me to update them about my recovery. So I thought I would start a blog primarily to do that but also to talk about other topics of interest including the wrestling business and whatever else I can think of. I plan to update this on a regular basis so check back and leave a comment if you wish.

REINA X WORLD to launch June 9
A press conference was held today to announce that REINA will relaunch as REINA X WORLD with a tag team tournament on June 9 at Shinjuku FACE. The partnership with CMLL will continue. The two big questions are who will be on the REINA X WORLD roster and who will company owner Victor Kinyonesu hire to run the company. He has hired a couple of wrestlers from K-Dojo to run the company. I think one guy is called Haji and the other is called Hiro. I'm not familiar with them. I don't follow K-Dojo. Both guys said it has been a dream to be a booker. I guess they are wrestling on the shows too but I'm not sure about that. Aki Kanbayashi and Aoi Ishibashi remain from the previous roster and Hikaru Shida and Tsukasa Fujimoto have been brought in from Ice Ribbon. Based on Fujimoto's comments at the press conference, they have left Ice Ribbon. The matches for the REINA Tag Team Championship tournament were announced. The winner of the tournament goes to Mexico to defend the belts. Match number one will have Princess Blanca & Princess Sugey vs Tsukasa Fujimoto & Hikaru Shida. The other match will have La Komandante & the masked wrestler Seishu vs Aki Kanbayashi & Aoi Ishibashi. Then they will have the final. Based on the poster, it appears they are also bringing in a couple of wrestlers from the US including Mia Yim. There was a lot of talk from Kambayashi and Ishibashi about turning over a new leaf. Obviously the girls on the REINA roster were clearly split about the management style of Yumiko Hotta. But I see a lack of experience on this roster. I think they do need a female leader and none of these girls have that kind of experience. And the Mexicans aren't there to be leaders. So there are still a lot of questions to be answered and we may find out how deep Kinyonesu's pockets really are. Check out the poster for the show.
