PANCRASE announced today that they have added another ATHENA match to their July 23 Shinjuku FACE show. WINDY Tomomi vs Sadae Manhoef is already scheduled. In a match contracted for 47.5kg and scheduled for two five minute rounds, Yukiko Seki will face sakura. They are selling this as JEWELS vs VALKYRIE though Seki has worked for both companies. She trains at Fight Chix. Her record is 8-20. She's been fighting since 2004. Her latest fight was a split decision win over Yuka Okumura on the May 14 JEWELS show. This will be her PANCRASE debut. sakura is the ringname of Kimie Okada. She trains at the main branch of WK which is the home dojo for VALKYRIE. Her record is 0-4-1. Her last fight was a unanimous decision loss to Megumi Morioka on the Nov. 28 VALKYRIE show. Obviously Seki has a huge experience edge. And though she doesn't look it, sakura is in her mid-30s and she's only had five fights since her debut in 2008. It's hard to play catch up when a fighter starts fighting at an advanced age. But it's good to see PANCRASE getting more into women's fights.
