So here's the match video from last night's TNA Slammiversary with Mickie James defending her TNA Knockouts Championship against Angelina Love. I like Angelina Love but I really hate this character and the whole angle. It's a typical Vince Russo toss logic out the window storyline. It makes absolutely no sense to have any wrestler behave like a drugged out zombie except when the wrestler is wrestling a match. And Tazz comments about this because he realizes it's ridiculous. I understand they're going for creepiness with Winter controlling Angelina but it's just lame. And fans aren't reacting to the characters. They're just staring at them saying WTF. And TNA is so slow in ditching an angle when it is clearly not working. Remember Tara in the motorcycle helmet? The match itself is pretty good because both girls are trying to put on a good show. But Winter's interference kills the momentum. They are desperate to get these lame characters over but it's not working. And then Mickie botches her DDT finisher. Tazz even mentions that. Instead of going for the pin, she should have done it over. Stuff happens sometimes but Mickie didn't react well. The post match beat down was OK. And they are teasing that Angelina may be coming to her senses. I sure hope so but getting rid of Russo would mean that Dixie Carter had come to her senses. Isn't she the inspiration for the Angelina zombie character? Enjoy the video.
