Chaka Khan became known as lead singer of the group Rufus. When she left the group she became even more popular. Though she is closely identified with I'm Every Woman, it was written and produced by uber producers Valerie Simpson & Nick Ashford. When Whitney Houston covered the song it was interpreted as a tribute to Chaka but Val was in the video too. This collection is probably worth getting. Chaka hasn't made a decent record since the 80s.
