Here's the match video of Josiane Nunes vs Bea Malecki from last night's UFC show in Las Vegas. This fight is at Bantamweight. Bea is from Stockholm, Sweden. She was in TUF 28 for Featherweights but she is 2-0 in the UFC at Bantamweight. She has had some injuries which is why we haven't seen much of her. She trains at Fortis MMA in Houston. Josiane is 27 years old from Curitiba, Brazil. She trains at Striker's House. She has won most of her fights by TKO. She was supposed to make her UFC debut a few months ago but her opponent missed weight. Bea is 5'9" and Josiane is 5'2". Josiane has power so if she can get inside, she can finish the fight. Bea couldn't seem to keep her at a distance. Like a lot of Brazilian fighters, Josiane likes to move forward. Bea hit her a few times but it wasn't enough to force Josiane to keep her distance. Josiane rocker Bea a few times until an overhead left knocked Bea out at the end of round one. That finish earned Josiane a $50,000 bonus. The course of action against Josiane is to force her to keep back. We'll see if someone higher up can do that. Could she drop to Flyweight? She's never fought at Flyweight and I don't know if she would retain her power at that weight. We could find out. Enjoy the video!
