Welcome to Frank Pozen's Big Bad Blog. A lot of folks have been asking me to update them about my recovery. So I thought I would start a blog primarily to do that but also to talk about other topics of interest including the wrestling business and whatever else I can think of. I plan to update this on a regular basis so check back and leave a comment if you wish.

Claudia Gadelha vs Randa Markos added to July 6 UFC show
Brett Okamoto of ESPN reports that Claudia Gadelha vs Randa Markos has been added to UFC 239 on July 6 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. He says there is a verbal agreement waiting for signed fight agreements. Claudia looked really bad losing to Nina Ansaroff in her last fight. She really needs to win to remain a top contender. Randa has been inconsistent since appearing on TUF 20. A win here could make her a top contender. Claudia is 30 years old from Brazil. Her record is 16-4 and 5-4 in the UFC. For years she trained at Nova Uniao until she moved to New Mexico a couple of years ago to train with Chris Luttrell. She still trains with Luttrell but she is in Las Vegas at Xtreme Couture. She has been a top contender in the Strawweight division. Her losses are mainly due to lack of endurance. And that's what Nina used to upset her. If she can't improve her endurance and she loses this fight, she could drop out of contention. Randa is 33 years old from Windsor, ON. She trains at Michigan Top Team in Dearborn, MI. Her record is 9-6-1 and 5-5-1 in the UFC. Randa is a wrestler with subpar striking. And she also makes mistakes that cost her fights. Her last fight was a win over Angela Hill so Claudia is a big step up in competition level. Both fighters could get a finish. But if it goes the distance I favor Randa only because Claudia's endurance is a big question mark. This is an important fight for both fighters.
