Raphael Marinho of Combate reported today that Amanda Ribas vs Emily Whitmire has been added to UFC on ESPN 3 June 29 at the Target Center in Minneapolis. This fight will be at Strawweight. Amanda signed with the UFC two years ago. She was supposed to fight in July but she failed a drug test for what turned out to be a tainted supplement. The USADA suspended her for two years but they announced a reduction of the suspension today. The USADA is now more lenient with tainted supplements. She would not have been suspended that long today. So this is her UFC debut. She is 25 years old from Brazil. Her record is 7-1 in the Brazilian regional circuit. Emily is 27 years old from Hillsboro, OR. She trains at Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas. Her record is 4-2 and she is 2-1 in the UFC. She was in TUF 26 for Flyweights but she dropped to Strawweight afterwards. And she has won her two fights at Strawweight. Obviously I haven't seen Amanda so we'll see if she's any good.Amanda Ribas tem pena reduzida, e UFC marca estreia contra Emily Whitmire, 29 de junho | combate | Sportv https://t.co/0NTzBddj8M com @marbarone

Welcome to Frank Pozen's Big Bad Blog. A lot of folks have been asking me to update them about my recovery. So I thought I would start a blog primarily to do that but also to talk about other topics of interest including the wrestling business and whatever else I can think of. I plan to update this on a regular basis so check back and leave a comment if you wish.
