Three more matches added to June 9 DEEP JEWELS show

Yukari Nabe, Kana Watanabe

DEEP JEWELS announced three more matches have been added to DEEP JEWELS 20 June 9 at Shinjuku FACE. In a Flyweight rematch, Kana Watanabe will face Yukari Nabe. In another Flyweight match, Shizuka Sugiyama will face Sachiko Fujimori. And in a Strawweight bout, Jet Izumi will face Yuko Saito. They also announced that King REINA will fight at Welterweight but her opponent has not been announced. Kana vs Yukari is a rematch from DEEP JEWELS 19 which was a draw because it was only two five minute rounds. This match is scheduled for three five minute rounds. If this doesn't tell that old fart Shigeru Saeki that he needs to knock off the two five minute round matches, I don't know what will. I think this will be the main event. Kana is a former amateur judo champ with mucho sex appeal. That sex appeal is very important to the DEEP JEWELS dirty old man fanbase. Her record is 2-0-1. Yukari is 3-2-1. She is nothing special. Shizuka is a 31 year old veteran fighter. Her record is 15-5. Standup is her strength. She also has sex appeal but she's not an elite fighter. She's midcard at best. She beats fighters she should beat and she loses to fighters who are better than her. In her last fight, she lost to Kana Watanabe on the Dec. RIZIN show. I expect her to win this fight. Sachiko looks to be an older fighter. Her record is 4-3. The last time we saw her she lost to Ayaka Miura on the Nov. 2, 2016 DEEP JEWELS. This will be her first Flyweight bout. All her previous fights have been at Strawweight. This fight will be three five minute rounds so it's probably the co-main event. I can only assume Saeki has no one else. Jet Izumi is a veteran kickboxer who used to dabble in MMA in the Smackgirl days. She's 42 years old and her MMA record is 5-6-1. This will be her first DEEP JEWELS appearance. She recently returned to MMA and lost to Pan Hui on the Oct. 29 Grandslam show. Before that her last MMA fight was in 2009. She is an active kickboxer. Yuko looks like an older fighter with a 1-1 record. And her previous fights have been at Atomweight. I don't like her chances. It's a card filler.
