Welcome to Frank Pozen's Big Bad Blog. A lot of folks have been asking me to update them about my recovery. So I thought I would start a blog primarily to do that but also to talk about other topics of interest including the wrestling business and whatever else I can think of. I plan to update this on a regular basis so check back and leave a comment if you wish.

JJ Aldrich vs Danielle Taylor added to Jan. 14 UFC show
JJ Aldrich vs Danielle Taylor has been added to UFC Fight Night 124 Jan. 14 at Scottrade Center in St. Louis. Both fighters announced it on Twitter and Instagram. Both fighters came to the UFC as late replacements. In that situation, the UFC takes who they can get and the fighter probably wouldn't be good enough to be in the UFC otherwise. JJ is 25 years old from Denver. Her record is 5-2 and 1-1 in the UFC. She also had one fight in Invicta. In her UFC debut, JJ lost to Juliana Lima when Juliana sat on her for three rounds. Neither fighter looked good. And then she won over late replacement Chan Mi Jeon in Australia. Chan is an even more questionable UFC signing. Danielle is 28 years old. She's a former King Of The Cage champ from Palmdale, CA. Her record is 9-2 and she's 2-1 in the UFC. She scored a bit of an upset when she beat veteran Jessica Penne in her last fight. Danielle's problem is she is only five feet tall. For example, JJ is 5'5". This forces Danielle to employ a keep away strategy that results in terrible fights. But this strategy beat the much taller and more experienced Jessica Penne. I guess a win is a win, right? That's the theory. Should Danielle be an Atomweight? She has never fought at Atomweight so I guess she doesn't think so. Can JJ break through Danielle's keep away strategy? I guess we will find out. This is what you get with late replacements. I guess the good thing is there are now four women's fights on this show. But I don't expect this fight to be very good.
