AccuRadio Song Of The Day-Cole Swindell

Artist:Cole Swindell
Song:Ain't Worth The Whiskey
Album:Cole Swindell

Cole Swindell made a big splash on the country music charts with his 2013 debut CD. He scored with four top ten country hits including Ain't Worth The Whiskey. He will release a new CD in 2016. If you think that Swindell is similar to Luke Bryan, that's not a coincidence. They are very good friends and they share the same producer. Swindell was born June 30, 1983 in Glennville, GA. He met Luke Bryan while studying marketing at Georgia Southern University. After Swindell left school, he moved to Nashville and worked in merchandising for Bryan and he started writing songs. In 2010, Swindell signed a publishing deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing. Some of his songs were recorded by other artists. The big one was Swindell co-wrote the Florida Georgia Line hit This Is How We Roll. Then he released the single Chillin' It independently and that got Swindell a deal with Warner Music Nashville. Chillin' It topped the country charts. His full length debut CD Cole Swindell was released Feb. 2014. The album was produced by Michael Carter who plays guitar for Bryan and produces his albums. So they're using the same musicians who appear on Luke Bryan albums. Swindell's second single Hope You Get Lonely Tonight reached #7 on the Country Singles chart. And Ain't Worth The Whiskey reached #3 on the Country Singles chart. Swindell wrote the song with Josh Martin and Adam Sanders who may be under contract to Carter. Swindell went on tour and he released a couple of EPs to promote the tour. He has a new CD coming out. But a title and release date have yet to be announced. The single You Should Be Here was released last month so the album should be out soon. And it should tell us if Swindell can sustain his success. Here's the video for Ain't Worth The Whiskey by Cole Swindell.
