Rin Nakai, Sarah D'Alelio |
PANCRASE announced today that Queen of PANCRASE Rin Nakai has been added to the May 11 Differ Ariake show. Her opponent is Sarah D'Alelio who has been with Invicta since they started a couple of years ago. She trains at Gracie in California. Her record is 7-5. She's on a two fight losing streak. Her last fight was a loss to Tonya Evinger on the Dec. 7 Invicta show. It is a non-title fight scheduled for three five minute rounds. No sexist two round fights in PANCRASE. When PANCRASE signed with WSOF, part of the deal was to change some rules to conform with the unified rules. So that means that all PANCRASE shows are in a cage. No more rings. And elbows are now allowed on the ground. Rin has always seemed more comfortable in a cage so I think that works in her favour. But she needs to be more aggressive at the beginning of fights. The stalling I have seen from her lately doesn't do her any favours. We know how physically gifted Rin is. If she is on her game and is aggressive, she is much quicker and stronger than most opponents. Stalling levels the playing field. Rin has had this slow start problem for the last couple of years. She may not even realize she is doing it. I laughed when I saw the pic of Sarah that PANCRASE sent to the media. It looks like a wanted poster.
