Welcome to Frank Pozen's Big Bad Blog. A lot of folks have been asking me to update them about my recovery. So I thought I would start a blog primarily to do that but also to talk about other topics of interest including the wrestling business and whatever else I can think of. I plan to update this on a regular basis so check back and leave a comment if you wish.

Three matches added to Feb. 16 DEEP JEWELS show
DEEP JEWELS announced three matches have been added to the Feb. 16 show at Shinjuku FACE. Of course the already announced main event will be MIZUKI vs Emi Tomimatsu in the final of the DEEP JEWELS Lightweight Championship tournament. This match will be three five minute rounds. The other matches will be two five minute rounds. In a match contracted for 48kg, Sugi Rock will face SARAMI. Sugi Rock trains at WK Akza. Her record is 9-3. She stopped a three fight losing streak with a win over Masako Yoshida on the Nov. 4 DEEP JEWELS show. SARAMI is the new ring name for Satomi Takano. She trains at Club Barbarian in Toyama. Her record is 3-2 and her last fight was a win over Miyoko on the Nov. 17 DEEP show in Toyama. Her losses were to Masako Yoshida and Yasuko Tamada so Sugi Rock should be favoured. In a match contracted for 48kg, Masako Yoshida will face Miyoko. Yoshida trains at Fight Chix. Her record is 17-19 and her last fight was a loss to Sugi Rock on the Nov. 4 DEEP JEWELS show. She's been around since 2003. Miyoko trains at Grabaka. Her record is 4-7-1 and her last fight was a loss to SARAMI on the Nov. 17 DEEP show in Toyama. In a fight contracted for 50kg, Amiba will face Mamiko Mizoguchi. Amiba used to train at DEEP but she has switched to Impact. Her record is 6-3 and her last fight was a win over Yasuko Mogi on the Aug. 31 DEEP JEWELS show. Mizoguchi is returning to MMA after a two year break. she now trains at Grabaka. her record is 2-5-2 and her last fight was a draw against Miyoko on the Oct. 15, 2011 Grabaka Live show. I think this was an exhibition match. It was only one round. IIRC, there was some debate about whether this fight should be recorded. It was a curtain jerker that seemed more like an exhibition than a real match. It was also announced that Shizuka Sugiyama and Mika Nagano will appear on this show.
